<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN><SPAN>County Solid Waste Management Facilities represent the extent of Solid Waste Management active and historic activities on site.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN><SPAN>The facilities are categorized based upon three main criteria: is the Solid Waste Management facility still depositing waste, is the facility currently undergoing active operations, and has the facility had all waste removed.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN><SPAN>Open and Closed Landfills. An open landfill describes a landfill that is currently receiving waste. A closed landfill describes a landfill that is no longer receiving waste.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN><SPAN>Operational and Non-Operational Facilities. An operational facility describes a facility that is undergoing active operations with respect to either public drop-off and/or other processing activities. A non-operational facility describes a facility that has no active operations.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Finally, if the facility has had all of its waste removed, it is recorded as a closed landfill and no D4 Assessments are required.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
